Student Struck by Bus Reaches Settlement

High school student Keito Swan was seriously injured in October 2005 when he was struck by a bus while crossing the street.

His claims against the Marysville School District were settled for $8 million. The settlement was approved by a judge.

In Washington as well as many other states court approval is required for settlements involving minors or incapacitated persons.

Claims are also being pursued against Snohomish County.
