The Tacoma News Tribune reported today that a Greyhound Bus killed a pedestrian while traveling westbound on I-90. For the full story, click here.

"We were all dozing off and it was completely quiet, and all of a sudden out of nowhere you hear this screeching sound and the shatter of glass and simultaneously I heard a scream from the bus driver, 'Oh my God!'" said passenger Jeremy Simons.

State troopers said the victim was on the freeway in full camouflage possibly trying to get his dog out of traffic. Investigators are looking into whether the man had left his own vehicle.

Unfortunately, accidents like this are more common than you might think. When something like this happens, the insurance company, not just the police, will immediately conduct an investigation. If you are involved in an accident, make sure that you also have an investigation done as soon as possible. To preserve evidence in this type of situation, you should contact a personal injury attorney as soon after the accident as possible. Your attorney may be able to preserve important evidence that would otherwise be lost or destroyed.
