A driver and her passenger were injured on Monday after their vehicle struck a utility pole. The impact temporarily knocked out the power in the surrounding area. The accident occurred in Lakewood, Washington.
Both the driver and the passenger were seriously injured and taken to Madigan Army Medical Center. Reportedly the impact caused most damage to the passenger side after hitting the pole head-on. The police indicate alcohol and speed contributed to the accident.
