A drunk driver caused a crash along I-5 in Federal Way, causing personal injuries to 6 victims.

Six people were injured in an apparent drunk driving accident that blocked part of I-5 for several hours Sunday night.

Police say a northbound van with four people inside crashed into a guardrail and flew down an embankment on the freeway near 300th Street in Federal Way just before 8 o'clock.

The state patrol says the driver, a 35-year-old woman, was the only person inside wearing a seatbelt. She was transported to Harborview Medical Center. Three other men in the van, aged 50-53, were also injured. Two were taken to Harborview and a third was taken to Auburn General Hospital.

Washington law (rightfully so) holds drunk drivers to an extremely tough standard, which helps their victims recover for personal injuries they cause. If you have suffered injuries at the hands of a drunk driver, it is important to consult an attorney to protect these valuable legal rights.
